This meeting will focus on how the building industry does not operate separately from the rest of the community. Builders bring new residents, investment, and customers into the area, while local restaurants, shops, and other businesses help create the character and amenities that make North Idaho attractive to prospective homeowners. Our industries benefit one another, so there is value in developing stronger relationships and addressing common issues together.
This open forum brings together the region's leading builders alongside building and planning departments and city and county officials for a constructive conversation on today's most pressing housing challenges. It is a valuable opportunity for industry professionals and local authorities to sit at the same table, share perspectives, and work toward practical solutions that balance community needs with responsible development.
Designed to foster open and collaborative dialogue, the forum encourages participants to exchange ideas, clarify concerns, and explore strategies that strengthen housing accessibility, improve processes, and support thoughtful growth across our region. Together, we can help shape a path forward that serves residents, builders, and the long-term health of our communities.
