Based in north Hayden, Niche Concrete Solutions supplies site-mixed concrete by volumetric mixer to projects across North Idaho. With a capacity similar to a ready-mix drum mixer, volumetric mixers ("site-mix" trucks) carry all the ingredients to produce concrete on board, including cement, sand, gravel, water (at the appropriate temperature), fiber mesh, and chemical admixtures. Using this portable concrete plant, the mixture is batched fresh upon arrival as per the customer's needs. Concrete consistency and entire mix designs can be altered as needed in the field. Concrete is mixed mechanically just prior to discharge so waste is eliminated entirely. The discharge assembly can be positioned in a variety of ways to suit the job and is accomplished entirely by the operator using remote automation. Product quality is monitored regularly in-house and all mix designs have been independently tested and verified. Based on the features above, volumetric mixers prove an extremely versatile and useful means of concrete supply for projects of all types.
